Sarah Outen, MBE, renown adventurer , explorer and author, made a welcome visit to speak to Year 10 last week about her exploits. Sarah is a popular speaker, with stories about turning dreams into goals, facing our fears, embracing our failures and trying over and over on our life’s journey.
Sarah’s expeditions have pushed the boundaries and taught her invaluable lessons about risk, resilience, team work and forging your own path.
Sarah’s aims are to encourage young people outdoors and enable them to access adventure.
In November 2015 Sarah completed a major four and a half year, 25,000 mile expedition around the Northern Hemisphere: London2London – Via The World, an experience she retells in her recent book “Dare To Do”. Explaining that it “didn’t quite go to plan”, Sarah’s mantra is that “a failure is only a failure if you call it that”.
