Student profile assessments were published via MCAS on Tuesday 30th April.

year 11

As we approach the GCSE and BTEC exam season, we would like to confirm that lessons will be continuing as normal in the lead up to and start of exams. This is a crucial time for students to take advantage of the revision lessons that will be put on by our subject-specialist teachers. As such, students must attend all lessons up until and including Thursday 6th June, where they will have a celebration leavers assembly at the end of the day. Study leave will then commence from Friday 7th June where students will only be expected to come in for their examinations (in full school uniform) although we will still be providing a quiet space for independent revision for any students who wish to be in school each day (again, in full school uniform).

We will also be hosting a series of pre-exam breakfast events for Year 11. These will be informal sessions with food provided and hosted by subject specialist. The intention is to ensure that students are well fed and able to ask any ‘last minute questions’ before each examination. Please refer to the schedule communicated last week.

If your child is considering going to University, we highly recommend they attend some university open days during the summer term. Information about Open Days can be found at Opendays.com - university and college open days - home page

Our new Head Students Zed and Jamie have started recruiting Year 12 students to get involved in a variety of leadership activities for the year ahead. We would encourage all Year 12 students to get involved as it is a fantastic enrichment activity, as well as adding value to any university or apprenticeship application.

YEAR 13

Please can we request that everyone is aware of the content of the Candidate Handbook on the Exams pages of our website (see below) especially the section regarding issues that may arise on the day of an exam.

The last day for official A Level lessons is Friday 10th May. The majority of A Level students will then be on Study Leave and only need to attend their exams. There will be a small number of A Level students who will be asked to continue to attend lessons during Study Leave. Students will be informed this week if they are being asked to remain in lessons. All BTEC lessons will continue as normal until 18th June.

Tickets are now on sale via ParentPay for the Year 13 Ball at Sudbury House Hotel, Faringdon, on Wednesday 26th June.

UCAS University Offers: Please be aware that students need to have made their final selection of their Firm and Insurance offers by Wednesday 6th June.
