Oxplore big question writing competition

An academic writing competition for Years 7 to 13, with a Big Question that is wide open to interpretation!

The Big Oxplore Essay Competition

Oxplore is the University of Oxford’s Outreach website for developing wider interests, critical thinking and diving into independent learning through Big Multi-disciplinary Questions. They have launched an Essay Competition with the deceptively simple question “Do we have enough?”. This question is totally open to interpretation. Enough of what?? You can approach this from any angle, with any subject in mind. The word limit for Years 7-9 is 800 words, and for Years 10-13, 2,000 words.

There are Amazon voucher prizes to be won, too. (£50 for the Year 7-9 category, and £100 for the 10-13 category.)

Year 12, if you have not yet entered an academic competition, then try this one. It could provide you with some excellent material for your personal statement.

The deadline for submission is 11:59 BST. For more information, including guidance on the question itself, and how to submit an entry, please visit: Oxford Digital Outreach Blog | Stories of digital outreach at the University of Oxford
