year group updates
year 7
We wish to take a moment to recognise the genuine kindness our Year 7 students show around school. They have earned a wonderful reputation among staff for being caring, polite and supportive of one another, and we are grateful for the positive contribution they make to our school community.
year 8
This week’s assembly was about the power of healthy choices. Every small decision you make, whether it’s choosing a nutritious snack, getting enough sleep, staying active, or taking time to look after your mental wellbeing, all adds up. Healthy habits don’t have to be big or difficult; they’re simply consistent steps that help you feel stronger, more focused and more confident every day. Remember, looking after yourself is not just important for school, but for every part of your life.
We’d like to give a special recognition to all the Year 8 students who have made a significant improvement in their attendance. Your effort, commitment, and resilience have not gone unnoticed. Turning things around takes dedication, and you should feel incredibly proud of the progress you’ve made. Keep going, you’re building habits that will help you succeed far beyond this year.

Please can parents ensure that if their child is driving to school, they do not park in the Leisure Centre Car Park. Student parking is not part of the arrangement we have with the Leisure Centre and is causing parking issues for Leisure Centre members. Irrespective of how long they will be on site or how many lessons they have, students need to use the car park at The Beacon or the free car park on Manor Road.
